Here's a quick run down of the equipment and materials I will be using throughout the tutorials
I cover all of this in detail plus loads more in the special "techniques" tutorials, included free with your first purchase.
Paper
Paper used is an Acrylic Paper, mine is made by Winsor & Newton and is called Galleria, it has a texture similar to canvas.
Alternatives would be to use a heavyweight watercolour paper or mount board offcuts. These will all act and work in very similar ways.
Paints
The acrylic paint is a mixture (whatever I have to hand) of W&N Galleria, W&N Artists Acrylic Colour and Liquitex.
I talk through the colours on the free video but include:
- Pthalo Blue
- Ultramarine
- Cadmium Red
- Cadmium Yellow
- Pthalo Green
- Yellow Ochre
- Burnt Sienna
- White
I will add other colours now and again including:
- Burnt Umber
- Permanent Rose
- Cadmium Orange
- Cerulean Blue
- Paynes Grey
...but these colours don't need to be exactly the same (I talk about this a lot on the lessons).
