Inspired By... Christopher Wood - SS7
Christopher 'Kit' Wood created some of the most recognisable and contemporary works of the 1920's and 30's. Inspired by the now famous meeting with St Ives artist Alfred Wallis, Wood took to simplifying his paintings, using looser, more expressive marks. The resulting paintings have become some of the most influential British paintings of the last 100 years.
